Outposts/Rent & earn

Rent & earn

Spare capacity on your outposts can earn. List a node with a price and caps, and other organizations can run workloads on it — sandboxed, metered and billed.

Listing an outpost

Any enrolled outpost can be listed for rent: you set the hourly price and hard caps on how much CPU and memory renters may take. Renters only ever see the capacity you offered — the caps are enforced at deploy time, not on trust.

Running on rented capacity

When you deploy, you choose where the stage runs — your own outposts, platform capacity, or capacity other organizations listed. The cost shows up before you confirm, never after. Rented workloads run in a strong sandbox, so tenants on the same machine stay isolated from each other and from the host.

Stages that carry secrets will not place onto another organization's hardware — the platform refuses the deploy rather than putting your secrets on a machine someone else owns. Keep secret-bearing stages on your own or platform outposts.

Money in, money out

Every cross-owner workload is metered. Each month you get a statement of what you consumed on others' capacity and what your listings earned. Prices are captured at deploy time, so a listing price change never rewrites history.
